The Game List 2015
After much counting and compilation we have a list of the games that were played at NoBoG in 2015. The list is by no means exhaustive, but should be pretty close - and the total number of plays is by no means perfect, but again, fairly close with an error margin that will go up and never down ( ie the number of plays you see is the minimum number of times those games have been spotted ). Filler game count error margin is higher than non fillers ( fillers tend to go under the radar ).
Lastly it should be said the game count is the number of times the games are present in an evening, not the total number of plays they get. So, something like Vampire that gets played a half dozen times in one evening on one table is counted as 1.
The Top 10 ( ish )
#1Ticket to Ride
Ticket to Ride - 15 plays
A bit of a cheat with this one depending how you count it. There have been a dizzying number of Ticket to Ride variants played, but they've all been counted as Ticket to Ride. So you can either think of TtR as being number one, or divide the number by five or so and spread it out amongst a whole range of TtR maps.
#2,3Castles of Mad King Ludwig & Werewolf
Castles of Mad King Ludwig / One Night Ultimate Werewolf - 13 plays
Castles is arguably the No.1 popular NoBoG game. Not a huge surprise given it's had multiple weeks that have seen multiple tables of it being played simultaneously.Werewolf has likely been played more often than recorded here, and if you count the number of times in an evening it has been played then it would win hands down as the most played game at NoBoG.
#4,5,6Avalon, Dead of Winter & Lords of Waterdeep
Resistance Avalon / Dead of Winter / Lords of Waterdeep - 11 plays
A no brainer for Resistance, just trailing its filler buddy Werewolf.Lords of Waterdeep is another (inexplicably ??) popular game so no surprise.
The surprise here for me is Dead of Winter landing way up the charts and getting repeated plays. It's a cool game, but really that cool ? NoBoG certainly thinks so.
#7Betrayal at House on the Hill
Betrayal at House on the Hill - 10 plays
The game that refuses to die. Betrayal has been very popular for more than 2 years at NoBoG now.In terms of bang for buck this game wildly delivers - and its count should be higher if you count multiple plays in one evening.
#8,9,10,11Guillotine, Vegas, Smash Up, Takenoko
Guillotine, Lords of Vegas, Smash Up, Takenoko - 8 plays
The filler Guillotine saw its popularity quickly rise at NoBoG once it did the rounds - it was a bit of a dark horse for a while with only Tim bringing it along occasionally. Now it's much more common.Lords of Vegas continues to do a fair trade in plays, easy, non taxing, and always an option, Smash Up has seen multiple plays - mostly via Lewis I think
And Takenoko is always hovering in the periphery, a great game for newbies or those that just want to kick back and relax a bit.
The Data
And here is the full list of games and their plays. Caverna did really well in 2015, and the crazy extra time at the Mash Tun has seen the long playing Game of Thrones leap up the charts. Classic Alhambra makes a good showing for itself - the most played old school euro ( ignore TtR ) at NoBoG.Ticket to Ride | 15 |

You are a GOD sir.
Ha ! It'd be much easier if that were true.
I should've mentioned there were some 520 odd recorded game sessions, which, herp a derp, makes about 10 games a week on average which sounds about the right ballpark given that some of them are quick fillers, some tables get through three different games, some tables just get one.
Things like XCOM appeared when first released then sank without trace. Other games show a much more measured longevity.
